Enough.

Today I am leaving the breath. Will no longer be my light is constantly on the oxygen consumption and disposal of carbon dioxide. In a bold move, I will be free from oppressive yoke of gaseous Exchange.

Now, I know what you think: If I quit, breathing cold Turkey, not my blood fill up fast with unwanted carbon dioxide? Possible. I am sure that in certain locations in coming weeks, I'll have to take from time to time by the inward or outward breath, to deal with emergency situations or avoid asphyxiation. But, generally speaking, I did.

I have a feeling for the next two minutes, at least, my performance is going to go through the roof. After that, who can say? I'll post the results here at TechCrunch.

Zynga just filed another variant of the S-1 for the company's public offering of $ 1 billion, and that's what's new. Firstly in filing Zynga said that in March of this year, the company had an internal assessment to approximately $ 11.5 billion. Page 70: our Board of Directors determined that the fair value of our common shares and preferred shares series z stays $ 13.96 per share.

This was five months ago, and clearly Zynga in evaluation has increased dramatically. Many expect companies to be assessed at the time of posting to drop nearly 20 billion dollars of the United States.

Secondly, the company updated its income breakdown of your game. Four years ago, 93 percent of Zynga's online income came from his best three games. As you can see on the page two updated filing, the top three games accounted for 63% of online income in the first quarter of 2011. So basically it becomes less dependent on FarmVille and his other hits for income.

The company also published information on the revolving credit fund at page 63, in which Zynga has a line of credit up to $ 1 billion. Zynga to correct the error accounting for its Q1 2011 earnings, who added $ 7.5 million increase in Q1 revenue (p. 30), the social gaming giant Q1 revenues up to well over $ 240 million.

Zynga also added more than 300 staff members in the past two months, raising the total number of 2.543 employees worldwide.

In July, Zynga update its S-1 include a complete list of their investors and more detailed information on its relationship with Facebook.

Researchers at Cornell was hard at work on a project that sounds strange at first, but is actually a very natural extension of the existing 3D and technology. They are the engine for the production of sounds colliding objects, simulating materials are themselves objects in virtual space, and then calculate the forces and vibrations, which would be produced. Academically this complex, but it has many practical applications.

Simulation of noise may be the easiest way to apply 3D games that, despite almost photorealistic models, textures, and lighting, still rely on a limited cache of pre-recorded sounds to play when, say, the tables turned over. Imitation of each object on the table and tracing the physical consequences of collisions with other objects, and the resulting consequences, more realistic and accurate sound, you can create on the fly — or at least this theory.

Now researchers recognize two obstacles. First the physical world is much easier in some cases, in order to ensure the effective amount of data. The ball hitting the floor is one thing, with only a few factors to calculate, but what about the stack the dishes rattling against each other at the table, which was jostled? You must reduce the number of points of contact, so thousands or millions of different interactions must be monitored separately. At the same time, they should be enough to create a realistic sound. This balancing is determined by the amount and type of objects and processing power, they have at hand.

And it seems that not everyone can be created completely from scratch just yet. Their demo at SIGGRAPH have a stack of dishes mentioned above, but apparently not flame soundtracking so easy. Part of the low-frequency they received, but for the rest had to base their models based on sounds recorded and then "paint" them at the bottom. That said, the most frequent sounds are predictable in the same way physical interactions are unpredictable (the time that they themselves are the amount of physical reactions) and just get the tools to do so.

Parallel processing hardware (such as graphics cards or many multi-core CPUs) will need to make these calculations in real time, though: imitating the noise of the light hours only for the short clip. But the very idea of convincing anyone who heard "breaking glass", or "Ricochet" noises in the game or even movies, where a limited catalogue of sounds.

Now it is still in the labs, but it's definitely the kind of thing that gets turned into a product and sold. Companies like Nvidia and Havok would love to get their hands on it. Unfortunately there aren't any videos, but if one becomes available once shown at SIGGRAPH, we'll put it here.

HTML5 Game seen running on Apple TV

appletv

A hacker managed to get through the HTML5 game running on Apple TV (2 G), after receiving the first jailbroken device and installed application couch surfer. (Couch surfer provides Web browser for the jailbroken Apple TV).

The game is a simple card game Blackjack, and frankly, it's not much to look at. However, adding a note, as it shows that Apple TV is a functional platform for applications based on HTML5.

Of course if Apple wants to open the Apple TV to support a wide range of HTML5 games and applications is another thing altogether. While HTML5 will provide an alternative to simple Flash-based games, it can also become a credible alternative to the Apple App Store applications in time, too. (AppleTV, currently running apps, but there are rumors that he will eventually).

Here is a video game in action:
