Live Gamer, online marketplace for players to trade and buy video games, virtual goods, is a video game advertising network GamerDNA and engagement advertising platform BrandPort for adding features advertising for game publishers.
As you probably know, e-commerce platform live gamer powers virtual goods merchandising, analytics, virtual item gifting, earned in-game currency, item showcases, directory management, payment gateways, cash flows and much more for publishers. Live Gamer scored a number of other notable partnerships to power payments for gaming companies, including deals with game giant EA, THQ, Sony and Real Networks.
GamerDNA is the fifth largest gamer oriented advertising network in the United States and Europe, reaching more than 48 million total unique visitors per month worldwide. GamerDNA connects advertisers for popular gaming sites, which are aimed primarily at the core of the games. Advertisers like Blizzard, Best Buy, KFC, Ubisoft, Sony Online, and Namco all drawn GamerDNA network to acquire new users.
BrandPort, which was rebranded as live gamer Ad elements, provides media and publisher partners, video ads, targeting, optimization and reporting infrastructure. The platform will reward users who view the recommended daily video ads with virtual goods, content or currency.
Live Gamer said that BrandPort video ad platform improves the level of monetization of free to play games for 40% of the total number of users of the typical 10% microtransaction payment only. Testing company has witnessed more than 96% of users can view all daily proposed High CPM video, resulting in approximately $ 1 in additional revenue per view users (ARPVU) per month.
Live Gamer President and co-founder Andy Schneider tells us that the creation of opportunities for publishers to monetize from ads made a lot of sense and complimentary to the platform e-commerce company. New proposal ad helps retain customers by offering as a reward.
This is not the first acquisitions for Live gamer. In 2009 the company acquired microtransaction platform Twofish and Korean run N-cash, global microtransaction company.
