For the first time for the social gaming giant Zynga actually fires the spinoff of one of its hit Facebook game, Frontierville. Today, the company announced the debut of the pioneer Trail (which is going live today), a new Facebook game where players build cars and crossed by three separate maps-Beaver Valley, plateaus and avalanche Pass – all while trying to achieve in one place — Fort courage.

As in the case of the majority of Zynga Games, social gaming mechanics are similar, but with different themes and plots. Pioneer trail story revolves around a young boy who was kidnapped, named Ezekiel, a gang notorious Gratchett and as a player, you are on a quest to complete the trail and save Ezekiel from Fort courage. The plot is a big part of this game than any other, and pioneer Trail makes a pretty big emphasis on the history of the gameplay. The story unfolds gradually and as players encounter new keys.

You essentially start the game by creating a cab, but instead of centralizing the whole game around this action, it will take about five minutes to put together your farmstead in the game. After you build your cabin, you upload your conestoga, your crew (with the Hunter, doctor and Carpenter) and start your way down the trail.

As you make your way down indicates end-of-mission and make a trail. There are many unique aspects of pioneer Trail, but one of the most interesting features is a function of the social partners. For the first time in the game players can sign up to be combined with other players that they cannot be friends with based on the characteristics of the existing teams, players can choose in the pioneer trail to compare them with players beyond their core group of friends on Facebook. This function will not live at the start, but should be available shortly after.

Zynga is changing things in terms of social engineering. Instead of accumulating as many friends as you can throughout the life of the game, players actually, you can select a small group of three friends to help them along. He becomes a strategy games because players, whose friends are more active will develop faster throughout the game.

Another feature of differentiation in this game, that is clever, choose your own layout adventure with several different ways to progress in history. Selection of individual players in the game determine how they would fair as they journey through the mysterious and treacherous lands on the trail. Once players play through a certain card, they can play again and get a completely different result.

Other differences include much more hame Board, and Zynga said pioneer trail approximately five times the size of the last Zynga Games. It is also the first game to game progression through several maps and changing conditions. In addition, the game introduces new game system where players earn points and trail on the road in the prize tickets Fort courage (where Ezekiel is captured). As you go down the trail and earn more points, you can unlock the ability of some virtual goods. Players have a rating from all the other Trail Blazers and can play the game over and over to get a high score.

As John Oswald, GM FrontierVille, tells us, a pioneer Trail introduces many new social interactions and mechanics that could eventually be used for other games. There is no set plans in place, said Oswald, but this game is a test to see how these features resonate with users.

Zynga's on a roll when it comes to churning out of the game, the recently launched Chinese version of CityVille, rolling out CityVille iOS app starting words with friends on Facebook and start hanging out with friends.

Zynga just filed another variant of the S-1 for the company's public offering of $ 1 billion, and that's what's new. Firstly in filing Zynga said that in March of this year, the company had an internal assessment to approximately $ 11.5 billion. Page 70: our Board of Directors determined that the fair value of our common shares and preferred shares series z stays $ 13.96 per share.

This was five months ago, and clearly Zynga in evaluation has increased dramatically. Many expect companies to be assessed at the time of posting to drop nearly 20 billion dollars of the United States.

Social game developer Kixeye raises $ 18 million, adds Zynga co-founder Andrew Trader to its Board

RIP Empson-writer at TechCrunch. He did not find friends here, he is here to win and you don't forget it. You can contact him at rip [at] techcrunch [dot] com ? more

KIXEYEUnicorn

Back in April, a developer of games, casual collective rebranded as Kixeye and launched a new real-time strategy game, titled battle pirates. Since launch, it was hard work at improving some of the new capital to expand his team and implement additional headers. Officially it happened to pass this morning as the company announced that it has closed $ 18 million Series c round of financing, bringing the total investment to $ 23.5 million.

The new round led by Jafco Ventures, were from returning investors Trinity Ventures and enterprise partners. The increase, Jafco managing partner Joe Horowitz is the signing of the Council of its launch and will be merged into — big symbolic feather in the CAP for Kixeye — Zynga co-founder Andrew Trader, aka "a. t."

According to Kixeye CEO will Harbin run hit his achievement over the past 8 months, which has become profitable and positive cash flow. So when you add a trader's Board of Directors, Kixeye hopes to use Zynga's Executive Vice President of sales and business development experience (especially in the scale Zynga in the largest player in the social gaming) to help continue its recent growth.

With regard to the trader, he said that he saw Kixeye emerge as one of the leading innovators in social gaming space, especially for hardcore gamers. "Gamers want a big game, not re-skinned versions of the same," said a. t. "I am pleased to be part of this company and I look forward to helping them continue their successful trajectory." And speaking of skins and cloning, both things that Kixeye became extremely conscious, given that the launch last week accused funded competitor Kabam, copying its successful backyard monsters and skins for the beta launch Kabam in the Edgeworld.

As Dean Takahashi, VentureBeat, while charges skins have become commonplace in the rapidly growing (and competitive) social games space but Kixeye thought that "especially egregious" in this instance. "This is not only offensive to us," Harbin told VentureBeat. "It's very bad for this space. We are fighting an uphill battle to create hardcore games on Facebook. More clones for these games, the more they can sour cream consumers in the market ".

And that more charges of stealing (and hides), also known as Zynga (and hence, a.t.), who was accused of stealing source code for Farmville, for example.

Thus players social gaming, everyone is looking for ways to distinguish their brands and their names from the competition. In the case of Kixeye, Harbin said that the company plans to use some of its new funding to start a new, aggressive release cycle, which will include some new approaches to social games.

"Next year we will be releasing one major title for the quarter, since our future war Commander RTAS," said the Director. "We're also going to create games for Facebook, which nobody had seen before, including dynamic MMORPG, racing game and, hopefully, titles that really push the envelope". And Harbin has every reason to want to take these genres in Facebook, as racing, action, and the hidden objects are genres that have multiple names on Facebook at the moment.

And the company is growing at a rate that justifies his new quest: over the past 18 months, Kixeye has grown its group from 3 to 60, and passed with little presence on Facebook to more than 5 million monthly active users. Part of the reason that Kixeye was so firmly defending backyard monsters is that the game was really what put Kixeye on the map, as it is currently averaging more than 1 million active users per day.

So as a developer of games of San Francisco goes ahead with a WAD of cash in his pocket, you can probably expect run continue to focus on creating a Facebook titles for the hardcore gamer, trying to make a more interesting and challenging games, older and more mature audience. And I would expect that occurs after the top engineering talent will be part of these efforts.
