When I first saw the legend of Zelda: skyward sword at E3 2010, I have to admit I was not impressed. Demo clearly rushed, the Wiimote was not responsible, and he took it as the Slingshot with a dozen rock knocking down one of the spiders. But it definitely formed nicely over the last year or so and look better than ever in PAX. Now that the doubters were met to some extent, it remains only to set a date for availability. And we just got that.

New game will be hitting the United States on 20 November, just in time for the holidays. I get the feeling that there will be plenty of Zeldas under trees this year. And what's more, you can buy complete with fabulous Golden Wiimote teased, we saw at E3 this year just $ 20 more.

The kit will sell for $ 70 and simple version for $ 50. Why don't you get the kit? Both versions, however, will come with a CD of Zelda 25 anniversary concert.

If you don't already know about it, we'll have a review of the game as soon as they begin to send these little buggers.

OpenFeint Announces replacement UDIDs iOS

OpenFeint-logo

On the heels of Apple's decision to abandon the developer access to UDID (unique identifier) on the device iOS, mobile social gaming network OpenFeint offers up an alternative solution. The company announced today that it launches the single sign-on system for social game developers, which will replace UDIDs iOS.

The system will be available later this fall.

It was observed a change in the final set'S UDID access release notes for iOS5, where he was listed as "obsolete". UDID alphanumeric string that is unique to each device Apple is currently used by mobile advertising networks, gaming network, analytics providers, developers, and system testing app as TestFlight, for example. In some cases, developers use even UDID to check whether users have access to their app from the new device.

In other words this kind of change is very, very big deal.

However, with the new system, OpenFeint game developer community, at least, will have another option. Users will choose to OpenFeint's new single sign on system, which then gives the developer access to OpenFeint OFUID, a universal system for users, cross platform gaming network.

Using the OFUID, developers can examine and analyze user behavior through games in order to better understand what works within their applications and that needs to be corrected. It will also help game developers with their ad targeting efforts. All data will be anonymous to protect user privacy, OpenFeint says.

Unfortunately, unlike Apple UDID, OFUID only works when the user chooses to log on to OpenFeint. And it is clear that is not a universal replacement UDID because OpenFeint is only on mobile games.

OpenFeint Announces also the accompanying trade Setup "for developers to contribute to the new system. OpenFeint says that he will guarantee new application developers 1.5 installs for each new installation of his "game channel," a new application that the SSO system to work.

Developers interested in early access can register to participate in the new agenda here.

OpenFeint has currently over 6900 games on their network and more than 115 million registered users. It was acquired by GREE Japanese mobile games in April for $ 104 million.

Cloud gaming service OnLive gets better and better. We had a blast checking OnLive booth at E3 this year and you better believe that the use of the service will be increased because GameStop accidentally OnLive a ton of great publicity yesterday. But OnLive is not resting on our laurels, as today the rolling new opportunities.

First on our list is parental controls, such as the need for just about any gaming platform. Where there are games, there are terrible, violent and profane content. Definitely not suitable for young children. Parents can now install certain restrictions on your account to block M-rated games, chat with strangers, brag clips, or monitoring.

OnLive also presented the beta group voice chat. To date, OnLive has a strong social element with its gaming chat (for multiplayer sessions) and spectator chat (for people, watching others play). Voice chat-group will enable you to communicate with friends whether they play, view, or to choose one's own nose. Even in the Beta Group chat works fine on all the supported devices OnLive's.

And rounding out our new feature: another opportunity for you to brag on Facebook. OnLive today has integrated Facebook achieve Exchange that automatically posts any gaming achievements directly to Facebook. OnLive already does this with Brag clips that little video some stellar moves or big time wins, you did during the game. If it just so happens that your game has a Brag clip reaching configured, achievements will get blasted out to Facebook along with Brag clips, so that your friends are proof of your ability to dominate.

OnLive said these latest features are the product of client requests and that they are not the last. So if you're a junkie OnLive and great idea to make the platform better, ask and you could receive. No harm in trying, right?

Perhaps the most well known for their multiple gaming peripherals with names, dramatic, Razer has just made a huge step in PC hardware space. It was announced today at PAX Prime, Razer's new blade gaming laptop packs a lot of gaming horsepower aluminum body, which is less than an inch thick.

As you can imagine from a company so strongly focused on better gaming experience, the blade does not skimp on components. 2.8 Ghz Intel Core i7 processor powers it all with 8 GB of RAM, 2 GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 555 m video card, and 17-inch LED-backlit display to round out the package.

Experienced PC Gamer may scoff — they've seen their fair share of gaming laptops, after all — but adding Razer Switchblade game UI to take the blade beyond regular gaming machine. First seen in the ambitious concept video in January this year, the Switchblade is now in the space to the right of the keyboard of the blade. Set of 10 "dynamic Adaptive tactile keys provide quick access to commands in the game, which change depending on what you are playing. Lower than two function LCD that displays relevant information about the game, when the mouse is used and becomes a multi-touch trackpad, when one is not.

Razer touting the blade as the first "true" gaming laptop in the world, and although I'm not buying this distinction, this particular machine, which of course does not make any compromises. Equipment and design are totally on point and a price tag of $ 2800 during the auction, this is the kind of machine, most players will only dream about.

There is a simple fundamental reasons why Grand Theft Auto has exploded in the phenomenon. Everyone has sometimes criminal trends. And practically indulge them a hell of a lot better than actually indulging them and moral implications — or physical consequences. As a prison.

But what if you could make the Grand Theft Auto concept even more immersive, tying in the real world? Here's what life is all about.

New mobile game red robot laboratory-based Mike Ouye, Pete Hawley and John Harris, the former leaders at Playdom, EA and SCEE start — allows you to put a life of crime to your phone. This location-based games launch today for Android devices which can be highly addictive.

Think of it as Foursquare meets Grand Theft Auto meets Spymaster (remember the Spymaster?) corresponds to Gowalla — well, old Gowalla before they recently said they have killed an element of virtual goods. Essence to go around your city and battle other properties of the element. The point is not to "register" to attack the other players all that you have to capture the city.

"Social utility guys taught people such as registration, but it's not real deep gaming experience," says the Ouye. "We're going after the gaming space. We are talking about the discovery of new places while playing igru"on continues.

Life is a crime uses real cards, which are individual red robot Labs group to include a virtual view of key landmarks in the city. Right now, Seattle (where red robot Labs is the opening game at PAX today) is constructed from. Soon after San Francisco and other cities in the United States will be too. These maps to incentivize people to fight for the Golden Gate Bridge, for example.

However, any location is fair game. Management team TechCrunch, for example to add.

The combat nature of the game is quite simple. You find someone you want to fight and becomes a Battle with the support of your weapons and stats. If you have a indicator of reputation than your opponent, you can remove them in battle. But perhaps they have a better tool than you even wait a little bit of that.

First game will mainly be a single player experience. But down the line, the red robot guys hope people form virtual bands to battle other bands for the superiority of the location. One of the ideas that the team has is Android vs. iPhone when the iPhone version launches later this fall. Maybe Jason and I will play at OMG JK.

At one point the red team robot got around 200 Googlers he played in the Googleplex, we are told.

In the end, as a form of gangs in the game will be different levels that individual users can rise to within the gang.

Another element of the game is to pick up and go virtual goods with other users — both sides are rewarded in the game for this action. There are about 200 names in the game right now and a lot of settings for users.

In the broader sense of life is a crime is a location-based gaming platform, the red robot Labs hopes to build a simple step. Their intention was to three games at this year's platform is two, built them, and the third party.

The location of the game is wide open right now, the Ouye says. ", and we're going after him because they really sticky" he continues.

"We compete for 30 seconds or 1 minute when you are in the waiting line. You want to make a virtual crime than range, or you want to register? "

You hear that Foursquare? Man up. Time to fight.

Life is a crime can be found in the Android market here.

Like OpenFeint, lunch money game SDK offers developers to join in the games. Platform of the original proposal (as showcased in the niche) include token system and social leaders. Token system is designed to simulate real world arcade where you pay to play games. Games free download and you will be gifted the bullets, but when you run out of tokens, you need to buy additional tokens to play games. In addition to being able to buy tokens there are many free methods to get tokens as invite friends or check the advertising space.

Break includes all these features and is random skills through games where there is a bully and the goal is to try to hit the fraudsters in the head with the ball as many times as you can in the row. Co-founder Ari world tells us that you will also be able to take your money and tokens from one lunch money game to another. We through GameStop.

I turned a blind eye when you invited me peanuts to games that are still slinging used bucks shy of a full-featured. I shrugged it off when your coworkers endlessly pressure me to order the game, which I don't want every time I walk in the store. I laughed when I was turned away for failing to buy a new release on launch day sans preorder, only to have a copy of a miracle appear as I went on vacation. These were all prices, I was willing to pay, I realized, to support one of the last remaining brick-and-mortar game shops.

But breaking the seal on a new copy of the game to remove the (valuable!) things you don't like, then selling games as new? Yes I quit you.

Here's the deal:

Yesterday morning, the long-awaited title, called Deus Ex: human revolution was finally released seek audience. Tucked inside the box was a small surprise: a coupon for a free copy of the same game through the still relatively new games, streaming service OnLive is that, if purchased directly from OnLive, will cost $ 49.99. At least there was supposed to be a coupon ...

Reports began trickling in rather quickly: for some reason, coupon, seems to be missing from almost all copies sold through GameStop.

What has happened? People at the factory forgot to take with them some of the coupons? Nope. Have GameStop keep case distribution coupons from ever find their way into their copy? Nope.

GameStop employees opened the box, remove the coupon and return the product on the shelf ... following orders from above to do so.

The first evidence came from an e-mail message, acquired by GameSpy, presumably sent by GameStop field Operations Manager. Key bits — bullet point # 1:

"Immediately remove and discard the OnLive coupon from all conventional PC version of Deus Ex: human revolution," it read. Of course this can't be real! Corporate team open a sealed product, throw out something tradable on a $ 50 product and act like nothing happened?

But of course, GameStop subsequent confirmation on Facebook after Word got out:

With regard to the Deus Ex OnLive codes: GameStop's policy is that we do not contribute to competitive services without a formal partnership.
Square Enix Packed competitor coupon in the PC version of Deus Ex: human revolution, without our prior knowledge and we pull these coupons.
While new products can be opened, we fully guarantee condition drives with new. If this does not happen, please contact the store where you bought the game and they will also provide assistance.

Note the wording. "Maybe" is opened? Try "," is open. And what guarantees! If your disc doesn't work for some reason, they'll give you a new (presumably the same stripped copies). But if you'll just pissed that you were connected by a coupon worth 50 dollars? La La La La, we have you not heard.

GameStop-owned stations with which the OnLive service "competing" refers to the momentum of GameStop, launched in July after acquiring Spawn Labs.

Look at GameStop: If you want to work a deal with distributor to obtain special copies without coupons that wisely. People will still annoyed they were insufficient, but it's at least not incredibly shady. But the opening of sealed boxes, remove coupon, exchanged for a $ 50 product and then stick it back on the shelf? Terrible. Can a customer walked in, purchased the game, remove the coupon and returned to field a full refund? No? Then it is not valid.

Alas, they went with shady route — and now they're gone and OnLive is much more to marketing than ever have that stupid coupon.

Nintendo's recent price drop 3DS seems to have achieved the goal of more units, but say that Nintendo bosses are not too happy with the floundering portable as a whole. Nintendo reportedly is considering, among other things, the new version of the equipment for 3DS, which diminishes its 3D capabilities

It sounds a bit illogical, but internal sources told French gaming site 01. Jun NET that Nintendo is aware of the problems they've had to convince customers that the 3D display is safe to use. Nintendo has publicly stated that children under the age of 6, you should not use 3DS 3D enabled that blocks the adoption rate among the younger set.

If the report proves to be true, then Nintendo can radically tone down 3D angle and would have completely shift gears when it comes to their branding strategy and marketing.

Plans for future equipment side, Nintendo has also been reported that thinks they shot himself in the leg at the expense of critical hardware oversight on the 3DS: no second analog stick. Engineers seem to be working day and night, to create a low-cost analog stick-ins, which they believed would improve the gameplay. Nintendo also reached out to a group of hand-picked developers to create games that leverage dual stick layout.

Mechanical analog stick-ins run me and not to develop 01. Jun clean, but it raises a number of questions: will have to delete every time rose 3DS? As he was going to attach a console? It will be worth a damn?

Nintendo retreat difficult here, but at least they're acknowledging their limitations and tries to make the experience better. If the new 3DS comes to end, Nintendo soon will draw the wrath of gamers who took on the current model at a bargain price, but they just have to grin and bear it, if the model is more in keeping with their view.

Microsoft is touting Windows phone 7 's, Xbox Live functionality, starting from the first day, but it always felt a bit lacking. You can look at your cute little avatar and play games that bump up your gamerscore, but where is the Xbox experience, which we saw in the demo as this one?

It would seem people in Redmond are not quite there yet but the demos on their GamesFest in Seattle on Monday morning shows us that the idea had not yet fallen by the wayside.

Microsoft and Kinectimals team showed off a Novel method of moving furry friend from within Kinectimals Xbox games on Windows phone. Players who loved pets on their Xbox can have the game create a QR code that you can scan in Kinectimals mobile applications. While on the phone, players can take photos from your camera and strategically pets in for kicks.

When players grow tired of carrying their little digital Tiger around, the application creates the same QR code that gets scanned at Kinect camera and pet gets the re-import into the game. Geekwire is a demo video for those who have problems submitting it:

Kinectimals connection is part of Microsoft's plans to strengthen ties between their hugely popular Xbox Live and Windows 7 phone. Frankly, it's about time: it's one thing for Microsoft to use the brand of Xbox Live to get their mobile OS some gamer cred, but doesn't deliver almost useless, if this experience. As WPcentral points out, the only game before Kinectimals, which was characterized by any kind of integration with relevant House was a full House Poker which allowed gamers to transfer their winnings between sessions of play.

Between today's demo and concepts they have already come up with Microsoft considers potentially own a significant portion of the space in the mobile games if they can just get their game on.

With skyrocketing room for upstart tech companies is not just a naysayer scientists, crying "bubble". Activision (Activision-Blizzard, to be precise) skeptical of numbers made for competitors like Zynga and Rovio evaluated or several billion dollars to put them out of reach for easy purchase. Maybe they hope to pick up their song after the alleged bubble POPs. Activision, long game, or is it just wishful thinking?

Speaking at Gamescom in Cologne, Activision Publishing director Eric Hirshberg poured cold water on the idea of making major investments in social gaming through high-profile acquisition of the company:

Evaluations of some companies in this space not in order, so this is a problem when it comes to acquisitions ...But don't be mistaken, thorough and methodical planning for inaction. Any new place, where people play the game, is that we are interested in.

Unfortunately, in the fast moving social gaming space, sometimes too much planning meant inaction. While Activision has many successful titles, no single approach or even trying to replicate, super-wide, super-shallow distribution titles like angry birds and Farmville. In the meantime, million sellers made overnight in wave virality that Activision seems not able to produce.

At the same time, the rate of growth of the sector said the volatility of the market. While Rovio is unlikely to suddenly reveal that it was folding underdiversified game library, it is possible that next year will bring more sobering results or mixing in the field of more examples of rapid growth suggests that the template is not only for those companies — in this case, the high valuations could be looked at as optimistic. At this time, Activision will be waiting for him.

In any case, the commentary does not imply Hirshberg any great level of illumination at Activision's part. This kind of bemused skepticism does not inspire confidence, either, which (as Nintendo) probably impatient with the failure of the world's largest Game maker take advantage of this new paradigm. They can begin to see light, though: they plan on social izing Call of Duty, one of the most popular franchises in the game, a social network of elites in the game. Very few there head true surround sound. Most of them traditional stereo headphones with virtual surround sound — a process that adds depth and focus, but am in two columns. Tritton Psyko headphones as actually being in the room, said several drivers to simulate, five channels of the speaker and subwoofer. They have had mixed success, but perhaps Razer will have more luck. Their forthcoming Tiamat headset is not less than 10 separate drivers (5 in each earpiece) to produce what they say is 7.1 audio experience of the first world.

I believe it when I hear it, though: megalodon sounded Great with the right materials, but not "high quality" normal stereo. Hope Tiamat handles this better.

New headset is front, rear, side, and the central channel in each speaker along with a subwoofer. You can configure each channel separately on a beautiful goal. There is a pull-out microphone, of course.

Tiamat 7.1 has a little sister, Tiamat 2.2, virtual surround sound headsets with similar design. Looks like an updated version of Chimaera.

They should be shipping later this year; 7.1 costs $ 180 and 2.2 will cost $ 100. More information can be found on the microsite Tiamat.

Nintendo Wii for prepping slightly reconfigured pre-holiday release. This simple model is positioned horizontally (like a gaming console) instead of vertically, like the original. He is also a bit smaller, lack the capacity for the Gamecube and is likely to be hit at a lower price.

This step is a standard procedure for game developers ever since the original NES. In an attempt to revive sales and take advantage of new, lower prices of equipment game developers will release the "updated" version of the console. Of course this is the last act for this specific system as most of the time its replacement has been announced. In this case, Nintendo announced a Wii U at E3 2010.

The Wii has a stellar run. In a sense he relit the excitement around the games, and has taught the senior generation increased flexibility and have fun. The Wii was released in November 2006 and since then has sold more than 87 million units, which puts him on top for popular gaming console of all time. Xbox 360 still does run on this record with solid sales, even six years of his life. This is partly thanks to revival caused Kinect.

An updated Wii only is an official UK right now. But Nintendo is not traditionally outside of new equipment for only one region. Most likely this is a smaller, more PETITE Wii rather soon will hit around the world. In a strange twist front part modified Wii rather similar to the front fascia, running Wii u. It not be a stretch to perform advanced Wii will help usher in next generation.

Prices were not announced, but the system will be bundled with the game Wii, Wii Sports, Wii remote and Nunchuk plus. The system can reportedly not playing Classic Gamecube games. If you don't mind above the Wii, you can scoop up one of the bundles of Mario Kart Wii $ 150 before the exhausted supplies. (or pulled)

During a press conference at Gamescom in Cologne Conference game, Sony announced several new features for their new game console, Vita (watch our hands-on E3 here). Among them were support for Foursquare and Skype. References were made during a conversation on the 3 G model, $ 300, but it does not imply that a 3 G connection.

More powerful than most phones and sport big, bright touch screen and dual camera, Vita should be able to handle these services perfectly. There is no demonstration and no screenshots, however, so the user interface is still a mystery.

It was also unclear whether it will integrate with Vita in other, more system-wide social tools. Sony has a list of system-wide voice chat and friends and Twitter is already integrated to some extent, but these new services can also enter the game. Become Mayor in the game can become a new source of points for drug addicts.

In addition to the announcement it was confirmed that all Vita games will download. This is a compelling way, but it is likely that users are going to free space, considering this is a true AAA games probably clocking in at several concerts, and solid-state storage quickly enough to load assets not cheap. But an unconditional promise downloadability one smart enough to do is very "next-gen."

Vita will be hitting the market in United States, after some time in early 2012, although it may be able to import one from Japan for the holidays — if you're filthy rich.

What iOS & Android players actually spend money on

inapppurchase

After analysis of the data set of over 57 million people takes on Android and iOS platforms, analytics firm flurry found that seems to be a large number of mobile gamers spend their money on "expense" of virtual goods. That is, virtual goods, which deplete when used as grenades in the game of war or fertilizer, which helps crops grow faster in the game of agriculture.

Less popular durables (those that offer permanent allowance) or "personalization" elements that are purely decorative updates.

Purchase the app were recently submitted to become a major revenue generator in mobile gaming, says flurry, now account for 65% of all incomes in the Top 100 of freemium games. Right now, for example, top 5 drives in the category "Top Grossing" iTunes App Store are the freemium games, and 22 of the 25 "Top Grossing" apps are games.

To purchase the app developers are leading method for generating income. But this broad category. Application users can purchase upgrades, add-ons, virtual goods, in-game currency and other items to improve their game.

What's interesting here is that one type of shopping app is the most popular: "premium" in-game currency. This currency can be used to advance through the game, or to get in the game are not available for users-defaulters.

68% of gamers spent this money on consumables (items that Deplete when used), but only 30% buy "lasting". These durable goods may include things like better armor in role-playing games, or building in the city simulation.

A flurry of notes that this is important for the game to offer both types of items, but since durables can give gamers a sense of progress and allow them to set goals, saving up for big purchases.

In the meantime, only a small percentage (2%) gamers buy personalization items, probably because such items does not affect gameplay. If the game is mainly about personalization, there is no need to keep a large selection of these types of elements, on the contrary, the proposed barrage.

The sample size used in the present study comes from more than a year's worth of data, including more than 57 million purchase transactions through a series of freemium iOS and Android games that an average of over 2 million active users per day. However, the selection of games considered only those with a flurry in Analysis Services.

Barrage increases the size and cost of mobile audiences, has already helped more than 50 000 companies in more than 100 000 applications iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows phone and J2ME platforms.

Nintendo has sparked a surge in the world of video games, when he announced the price slash the 3DS in Japan, the United States and other countries at 30-40% (depending on country) – only a few months after the system went on sale.

And now we have the first equipment sales numbers from Japan, and it looks like casual gaming on social networks, increase freemium and all these apps for free/inexpensive Smartphone made consumers more price sensitive in recent years.

According to the video game magazine publisher Enterbrain Nintendo managed to sell a whopping 215 000 units 3DS 8 and 14 August. Price drop (from 25 000 yen to 15 000 yen) entered into force on 11 August (but quite a few shops in Japan actually taken several days earlier).

For comparison: Nintendo's Japan shipped more than 350 000 units a week after launch (and approximately 200 000 a week afterwards), means falling prices caused a sort of second beginning in that country to the system (in may, for example, only 109 000 3DS were sold on the domestic market).

A total of 1.5 million 3DS systems were sold in Japan so far.

For the first time for the social gaming giant Zynga actually fires the spinoff of one of its hit Facebook game, Frontierville. Today, the company announced the debut of the pioneer Trail (which is going live today), a new Facebook game where players build cars and crossed by three separate maps-Beaver Valley, plateaus and avalanche Pass – all while trying to achieve in one place — Fort courage.

As in the case of the majority of Zynga Games, social gaming mechanics are similar, but with different themes and plots. Pioneer trail story revolves around a young boy who was kidnapped, named Ezekiel, a gang notorious Gratchett and as a player, you are on a quest to complete the trail and save Ezekiel from Fort courage. The plot is a big part of this game than any other, and pioneer Trail makes a pretty big emphasis on the history of the gameplay. The story unfolds gradually and as players encounter new keys.

You essentially start the game by creating a cab, but instead of centralizing the whole game around this action, it will take about five minutes to put together your farmstead in the game. After you build your cabin, you upload your conestoga, your crew (with the Hunter, doctor and Carpenter) and start your way down the trail.

As you make your way down indicates end-of-mission and make a trail. There are many unique aspects of pioneer Trail, but one of the most interesting features is a function of the social partners. For the first time in the game players can sign up to be combined with other players that they cannot be friends with based on the characteristics of the existing teams, players can choose in the pioneer trail to compare them with players beyond their core group of friends on Facebook. This function will not live at the start, but should be available shortly after.

Zynga is changing things in terms of social engineering. Instead of accumulating as many friends as you can throughout the life of the game, players actually, you can select a small group of three friends to help them along. He becomes a strategy games because players, whose friends are more active will develop faster throughout the game.

Another feature of differentiation in this game, that is clever, choose your own layout adventure with several different ways to progress in history. Selection of individual players in the game determine how they would fair as they journey through the mysterious and treacherous lands on the trail. Once players play through a certain card, they can play again and get a completely different result.

Other differences include much more hame Board, and Zynga said pioneer trail approximately five times the size of the last Zynga Games. It is also the first game to game progression through several maps and changing conditions. In addition, the game introduces new game system where players earn points and trail on the road in the prize tickets Fort courage (where Ezekiel is captured). As you go down the trail and earn more points, you can unlock the ability of some virtual goods. Players have a rating from all the other Trail Blazers and can play the game over and over to get a high score.

As John Oswald, GM FrontierVille, tells us, a pioneer Trail introduces many new social interactions and mechanics that could eventually be used for other games. There is no set plans in place, said Oswald, but this game is a test to see how these features resonate with users.

Zynga's on a roll when it comes to churning out of the game, the recently launched Chinese version of CityVille, rolling out CityVille iOS app starting words with friends on Facebook and start hanging out with friends.

Zynga was founded in July 2007, mark Pinkus and named after his late American bulldog, Zinga. Loyal and spirited, Zinga's name is a nod the legendary ...

PlayStation

Beware! Price cuts all around! After the fall of prices 3DS Sony just cut a cool $ 50 from the PS3, dropping 160 GB model to $ 250-$ 300. 320 GB model is also slightly lower, now with a price tag of $ 299.

This puts the PS3 in a couple of better position ahead of the oh so important holiday season. The Wii is currently priced at $ 150 and comes bundled with Mario Kart. The basic model of the Xbox sells for $ 200 or $ 300 with Kinect. Suddenly the PS3 looks much more attractive.

Unfortunately love fall in prices does not apply to European players. Of course the price fell there too, but only up to € 249, which works out to $ 359 USD. This is similar, but not as harsh story in Japan, where the system falls to 24.980 yen, or $ 325 United States dollars.

Sony strives for Microsoft for some time. Xbox 360 is on a seven-month streak be popular console, month after month. Kinect receives user base in the past year, and the effect seems to still hold true. It is the dominance of Microsoft may not respond in kind and with the fall of the 360 price monitor.

NaClBox (get it?) is a port of DOSBox for DOS games to play right in your browser. Now you can play titles like Star Wars Tie fighter with polyphonic MIDI sound and hot hot VGA graphics. It works on Macs, PCs, and Linux machines and operates under the chrome 13.

To play games, you should include your own client chrome (Na Cl, hence the pun):

In the Chrome address bar, type:

about: flags

Find the section called "Native Client"

Click enable, and then restart chrome.

Game downloads and you are ready to play a bit later. The most interesting to note that this is how the game will likely play under ChromeOS-directly in the browser with almost no lag. If this is better or worse than services, such as a couple I'm not ready to argue, but it does point to some very interesting features coming to the OS.

The site has been around for a while, but they added some new games, and I suspect I just made a few people with this delightful days opening Hackernews.

minecraft xperia play

One of the more pleasant surprises at E3 this year was our hands-on with Xperia Play. I was really expecting like device, but after playing a few games on it, I found it to be perfectly legitimate, even if the game selection is so hot right now. And Moreover, they were the Minecraft.

As one of the game title for the new platform, it's no wonder that Minecraft becomes a bit official love — today, it takes the form of a really sweet looking Minecraft-themed Xperia play. It is sold, Mojang themselves, so you know that this is real.

It is not clear whether this is a one-off or just the first of many distinctive characters and themes. I'd guess the latter. This has not prevented the trades from topping $ 1200, though — and there are still six days to go at the time of writing this article. But then again, people tend to open their wallets a bit when profits go to charity, as they will.

Some people might think that thing is flashy, but I love it. It maps this mouse pad.

Today it is a cheap Nintendo 3DS day

The_new_3ds

Just a reminder: today, cheap Nintendo 3DS day and unfortunately, this is the end of availability for Nintendo's unusual "Ambassador" program. The device is now available for $ 169-down from its launch price of $ 249-and they will launch the 3DS in "flame" aka "Mario" Red in September of this year.

Why this is news? Well as in the case of many recent price reduction, Nintendo is exceeded. Despite the fact that, in theory, 3 DS technology wildly surpassed the previous handheld consoles, the fact remains that these same consoles were just fine for the vast majority of DS games. 3D-and still is – the trick, and although I found fascinating console at launch, I suspect, balking at paying parents another Nintendo console has two and a half.

$ 169 a device that significantly cheaper and far more accessible. However, I worry that the fall will create a negative perception in the market. Console makers have traditionally been very aggressive and faithful in their prices. Console prices to drop sales are far beyond the sales plateau that occurs during startup, the console. Deficit, grey market after sales and General Chatter, all combine to create a perfect storm of income and only when the storm dies down, we see no significant price reductions.

In the end I'm sure Nintendo will do just fine on the 3DS. They are old, more nostalgic market and they understand that the children are happy with the new title Pokemon every few years. However, for them to reduce prices so early is a negative sign in almost all respects, except for one – lower prices means that more people will be willing to try Nintendo's vision for the future of handheld gaming.

Meet red 3DS. It's very much like the standard model blue and black, but, you know, red. Taste of red flames debuted in Japan some time ago, but Nintendo finally brings it here within the United Nations system to resume Friday. (As if the color red will 3DS)

3DS wasn't exactly a hit yet. The company took a big loss last quarter after sales well below expectations. This is clearly experienced companies reevaluate price of $ 249 3DS, and thus, the system has been reduced to $ 169. The price cut will take effect this Friday, as Nintendo desperately trying to stop the hemorrhaging.

Seemingly 3DS was created to failure from the outset. Built around the market ploy, 3d-ified 3DS started earlier this year without a title blockbuster. Nintendo all telling players to wait. Good games are on their way, they said. So gamers did just that. They have been waiting for. And waited. And good games are still not here. The only notable games so far are just remakes of old games.

Price $ 249 doesn't help either. 3DS, portable Nintendo's most expensive ever. Even its predecessor, virtual boy began in the sub $ 200 price back in 1995. At $ 249 3DS was more expensive than the Sony PSP, Nintendo Wii and more importantly, the iPhone, which taught a generation of games is worth $ 1.99 or less.

3DS was just too expensive and was not supported by the blockbuster Mario or Zelda title on startup. But this coming Friday, August 12, the system gets new chance at life. Red flame model hits the State help celebrate with new price $ 169 and the team of pilots, under the guidance of experienced Fox is ready to help save the 3D portable gaming system from an early death. Do a barrel roll! (It is actually airleron roll, but it's not much of a battle cry).
